Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

The short version: Liqd is built by one person (hi, I'm Chase). I collect a small amount of data to make the product better — what items people add, what they search for, which features they use. I don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything outside of running and improving Liqd. If you ever want your data deleted, email hello@liqd.io.

Who runs Liqd

Liqd is built by Chase, an independent founder. You can reach me at hello@liqd.io for anything privacy-related — including data requests, account deletion, or questions about this policy.

What information I collect

Account information: When you sign up, I collect your email address (used for login and password reset) and a name you choose to display.

Items you add to your vault: Item names, photos (from eBay listings or your uploads), prices, categories, your decisions (keep / sell / donate), and any notes you add.

Searches and AI captures: Search queries you run, photos you take for AI identification, and the results returned by external data and image-recognition services.

Behavioral usage data: I track how you interact with the app — which tabs you view, when you add items, when you make decisions, how long sessions last. This helps me understand which features work and which need improvement. I do NOT track item names, search queries, or personal content in this behavioral data — only aggregate patterns like "user X opened the Insights tab" or "user X added an item worth $Y."

Technical data: Browser type, approximate location (from IP address), device type. Standard web stuff.

What I don't collect

Who I share data with

To run Liqd, I send some data to a few external services:

These are infrastructure providers, not advertisers. They don't get your data to sell or repurpose — they process it on Liqd's behalf to make the product work.

I don't sell your data. I don't share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.

Who can see your data

You — full access to everything in your vault.

Me (Chase) — as the operator of Liqd, I have admin access to the database. I use this only to debug issues, understand how features are used, and improve the product. I treat what I see in user accounts with the same discretion as private financial documents. I don't share specific vault contents publicly or with anyone outside of operating Liqd.

No one else — Liqd doesn't have other employees, contractors, or admins with access to your data.

How long I keep your data

Your data stays in Liqd for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account or email me to request deletion, I'll remove your account, vault items, and tracked behavioral data as soon as I can, typically within 14 days. Some backups may take an additional 30 days to fully purge.

No system is perfectly secure. If there's ever a data breach, I'll notify affected users as soon as I'm able after discovering it.

Liqd uses a minimum of cookies — only what's needed to keep you logged in and remember your session. I don't use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics tools like Google Analytics.

Children

Liqd is intended for users 13 years and older. I don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email me and I'll delete the account.

Changes to this policy

If I make significant changes to this policy, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify users via email. Minor wording improvements may happen without notification.
